Treeview in MS Access Part 4 – Adding Icons to treeview nodes


This blog post is about how to use icons for our treeview nodes, improving the visual appearance of our treeview as well as providing additional information for the user about what type of record he is looking it.

    Can you introduce, how i done report from your access treeview. I can’t find sample code for report.

      The report would really depend on the type of information in the treeview. There isn’t really a “one-size-fits-all”. The closest to that, would be a simple export into excel, which you can find here:

        Now I use limit Node for query data, it’s work for create report. My work has maximum 6 level.

    also when linking the node with its icon , you need to know the icon name is sometimes upper/lower case sensitive .
    ( not sure when this happens exactly , but it will save from running into errors)

    I don’t recall having run into any issues with case sensitivity on image names with the mscomctl treeview, but I suppose there might be other treeview controls that are case sensitive.
